- Latoya Callender is a Professorial Lecturer in the Department of Health Studies. She earned her PhD in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health from Walden University and a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Health Service Administration from Central Michigan University. Dr. Callender worked at the federal and community levels with a variety of health promotion and disease programs. Dr. Callender has professional experience with HIV prevention, health disparities among women, and Complementary and Alternative Medicines (CAM). Other interest includes social determinants of health among Afro-Caribbean populations.
