We not only met our historic goal—we exceeded it.

In September, the Board of Trustees voted to officially close Change Can’t Wait: The Campaign for American University, which raised more than $507 million over the last seven years to transform our present—and our future.

The achievement was community-driven, with supporters in all 50 states, DC, and 81 countries answering the campaign’s bold call to action. 

“Every person who supported and engaged with the campaign made a difference in its success, [making] this once unthinkable feat possible,” says board chair Gina Adams, SPA/BS ’80.
