- Ashley Scott (she/her) is a PhD student in the Department of Public Administration and Policy at American University. Her research interests include political and civic engagement, the role of community institutions, and policy retrenchment. Her current project looks at the political consequences of closing community institutions and their symbolic stature within the community.
