Bio
Jocelyn E. Cox (Maryland) is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association, and the independent author of Jocelyn Learns to Dance, for which she received the Prince George's Arts and Humanities Council's Artist Fellowship Grant. Jocelyn's teaching experience includes: Howard University's Dance Program (full-time Lecturer), DC; Steffi Nossen Dance Foundation, NY; the Ballet Tech School, NY; George Mason University, VA; and Joy of Motion Dance Center, DC.
Mrs. Cox earned her MFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance, NY, and her BFA in Dance and Marketing from Temple University, PA. She trained as a member of the 2nd company at PHILADANCO!, Danco2. Additional training includes: Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Mark Morris Dance Group, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Danza Contemporánea de Cuba. Jocelyn has had the opportunity to work with Hinton Battle, Abdel Salaam, and recording artist Tamia.
