On November 9, 2023 ARPC hosted a public book talk with the co-editors of the award-winning anthology Latinx Environmentalisms: Place, Justice, and the Decolonial. Dr. Malini Ranganathan, SIS Professor and ARPC faculty affiliate, hosted a conversation with Sarah D. Wald, Priscilla Solis Ybarra, Sarah Jacquette Ray, and AU's own David J. Vázquez about the richness and variety of Latinx environmental thought, the ways in which it challenges mainstream assumptions, how they came together to produce this collective work, and the way it has moved through the world since publishing.

The following day, the co-editors teamed up with equity-focused scholars Joe Bozeman, Sauleh Siddiqui, and Xiaobo Romeiko from the interdisciplinary Multiscale RECIPES For Sustainable Food Systems research partnership for a novel cross-disciplinary conversation about the necessity and challenges of working collaboratively to advance antiracist scholarship within environmental studies. Following a panel conversation and Q+A, participants joined facilitated breakout sessions on Collective Writing and Publishing; Community Engagement; and Grant Preparation.
