Medical Support (confidential)

If you have experienced sexual, relationship or other violence, you are encouraged to seek confidential medical support as soon as possible following the incident. A medical provider, such as the options below, can address any health concerns and preserve evidence.

• DC Forensic Nurses
  Forensic nurses provide medical forensic evaluation and documentation for District of Columbia victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) and sexual assault (SANE).

You are encouraged to consider preserving evidence as soon as possible after an incident regardless of whether you have made the decision to contact law enforcement and/or to report the incident to the University. You have the right to a free, confidential exam, whether or not you report to law enforcement.

Supportive Measures

The Office for Equity & Title IX connects students, faculty, and staff to resources and supportive measures that are appropriate, reasonable, and available based on case specific information in response to reports of gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking.Students seeking academic support measures, housing support measures, no contact orders, or other supports are encouraged to contact the Office of Equity & Title IX directly.
