Passports
As a participant in Cornerstone Greece, you must have a valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of the end date of the program. Students also will want to make certain that their passport is in good condition, as damaged passports can be refused for use (at the airport or upon entry in the Greece).
Visas
ACT requires that you will need a visa during your time in Greece. You must apply for a visa (and apply for a residence permit after you arrive in Greece) at least 10 to 12 weeks before you arrive to ACT. AU Abroad and ACT will assist you with the visa application materials but it is your responsibility to apply for the visa.
Declare Documented Accommodation Requests
Students are strongly encouraged to disclose and preregister any documented accommodation requests with the American University Academic Support & Access Center (AU ASAC) at (202)885-3360.
Students will need to obtain an official letter from ASAC that will be forwarded to Wroxton to determine how requested accommodations will be arranged.
AU Study Abroad Forms
All students participating in Cornerstone Abroad are required to complete AU Study Abroad forms to the Cornerstone Program Office. Failure to complete and submit any forms to AU may result in removal from the program.
Students must complete these forms no later than September 1st by logging into the AU Abroad website: http://auabroad.american.edu.
Health Insurance
Students are required to maintain US based health insurance while abroad. Students also will be enrolled in AU's emergency medical insurance for international travel. This policy only covers emergencies in Greece and on program sponsored excursions during the program dates. ACT will also provide additional insurance for coverage within the Greece. Information on supplemental health insurance can be found here.
