OIRA responds to approximately fifty major annual surveys from external entities, as well as periodic surveys completed every few years. Responsibility for these surveys has been assigned to OIRA to adhere to survey requirements, optimize deployment of university resources, and ensure consistency in responding to similar data across requests. These surveys encompass a variety of types, including those conducted by the U.S. federal government and state/district entities, university-wide and program accreditation reports, reports directed by university partners, university rankings projects, and college guides. Additionally, OIRA assists our campus partners with their external reporting as needed.

Report Type Definitions

• Accreditation: Data required by the accrediting bodies for the institution or its programs or for renewing licenses.
• Data Exchange: Voluntary data submitted to support collaborative data-sharing agreements with higher education organizations or consortia.
• Federal: Data required (unless stated otherwise) by federal governmental bodies.
• Financial: Financial and operating data submitted to bond rating agencies.
• Media: Voluntary data submitted to organizations that publish college and university guides.
• Media with Rankings: Voluntary data submitted to organizations that publish college and university guides with rankings.
• State: Data required by state/local governmental bodies.

Note: "Month" specifies the deadline for data submission. When the due date spans a range, the latter portion of the month within that range is utilized.
